Coping with Terrorism.
I fear terrorism more and more every progressive day. It's not that I'm afraid of Anthrax, Smallpox, or riding on an airplane. I am terrified about what this country is becoming. I am terrified at the prospect
that I may soon be living in a militarily controlled country - or worse. No, I'm not moving from my home in Minnesota - but the way things are going, I may not have to.
Let me ask you a few questions.

Where you there when they started taking people from their families in the middle of the night to be punished and possibly executed by military order? In the USA? |

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said "We ask other countries not to try US citizens in closed tribunals, but now we'd be doing exactly the same thing ourselves." |

Where you there when they decided that it was ok for the government to behave as a common criminal, breaking into homes at will? In the USA? |

Sleep safely in your bed, as unlike every other law that has ever been written, this law will never be abused, and will only be used when terrorism is suspected. Oh, and if the you do end up being falsly accused, well, we're sorry, that's the price of dealing with terrorism. |

US Patriot act, Sec. 503. The provision adds collection of DNA for terrorists, but then inexplicably also adds collection for the broad, non-terrorist category of "any crime of violence." |

People now more then ever are displaying and waving flags, while failing to stop the government from sacrificing the principals the flag is supposed to stand for - all in the name of Homeland Security. |

Where you there when our founding fathers turned in their graves, in fear of what this great country is becoming?
What are you going to say to your children and grandchildren, when they ask you where you were when they turned the United States of America into a police state? |

Doing nothing in the face of tiranny is the most unpatriotic thing you could possibly do.
Tell your congressman how you feel. We've too many "Executive Orders" and not enough democracy. Let's show the world what democracy can do.
